Ashley joins us from Baltimore, Maryland where we dive into the 10 year journey she’s been on to create high quality, transformative experiences for those looking to travel in an impactful way. After leaving her corporate job at a Fortune 50 company, Ashley followed her passion to start a charity called Jelani Gives - to help open up the world to youth that are less fortunate to see it.
From there Jelani Travel was formed and now celebrates it’s 10 year anniversary creating curated experiences for Black travelers, reimagining Africa and fostering cultural understanding.
The company has planned over 600 travel experiences, visited 108 countries, explored 6 continents and explored 35 states! Ashley has spoken and worked with Brands such as Google, Mailchimp, Lyft & Uber about unique travel experiences for their workforce. Jelani Travel also focuses on custom group trips for anyone looking to explore a new destination intimately.

A skier since a young age in Australia, Kristen has always known that the mountains were calling - so she listened and ended up traveling across the globe to live at Silverstar Mountain Resort as an instructor, trainer & supervisor. Kristen is passionate about helping others in this industry and trying to get more females on the same level. In a male dominated sport, Kristen, has learned from mentors on mindset, grit and how to listen to her intuition when it comes to hitting the slopes. She knows that the opportunities to teach in this industry are incredible and hopes that she can inspire others to join her in the ski industry.
Kristen has studied photography and Sport and Recreation management; Completed her CSIA Level 1, 2 & 3 as well as her trainer exam and in 2022; then to be selected into the L4 Academy passing her ski exam in 2023 and her teaching exam in 2024 - this will give her the Level 4 teaching certifications which is one of the hardest to get! And while under the age of 30 too!

From the Corporate world with degrees in Law & History; Aukje ceased to be inspired by the industry she was in and discovered a true passion for adventure when cycling from Tanzania to the Netherlands. Hear her incredible story of resiliency while pushing through this 11 month journey that had her making a career change once home.
Knowing that tourism is her passion she moved into the role of Director of the Respect the Mountains Foundation which brought the message of ecotourism and live events to the European Sustainable Mountain Tourism market. Then in 2018 Aukje started working for Rewilding Europe where she managed the in-house travel company and was in charge of Wildlife Tourism development & training in the different rewilding areas.
She co-created the rewilding tourism training program in 2020, which trained over 200 travel & tourism professionals. In 2023, Aukje poured her heart and soul in yet another challenge: starting MOYO Training Foundation and making a Nature Positive impact on the travel, tourism & training industry.
Also hear about her travels & an awe-inspiring moment in Abruzzo, Italy where she was hiking in the night with wolves and how moments like these are what motivates her to spread the word of sustainability and nature positive impacts in tourism.
